Who Needs Who?

Today I was talking to Hanan, a stimulation lab technician about the medical coverage offered by some company including mine. His salary is very good. A technician but has same salary level with me an executive. Yes his company paid very nice salary but when we compared the medical benefit of our company, he get shocked coz almost every medical expenses in unlimited. Except for dental and number of baby that you can have.

Another engineer in his company also need to topup the medical expenses when his wife was warded for two day where the medical fees is RM 500. But the company only covered RM 200 perday. So he had to pay by own another RM 100. But still ok la, your salary is already above the sky, itupun mau kira ka?

One thing I have jotted down in my memory during teambuilding session in Puteri Resort Melaka two months ago is about health management and salary demand.

In the first 5 years, new executive will demand for their salary by mentioning that how the company really needs them. We are young and enthutiastic executive, hardworking, smart, proactive,dynamic,bla,bla, bla... Thats why the company should increase our salary.

Yeah, that's true, but...

After 15 years you are with the company, some of you might say, "Oh God, how lucky I am to be working with the company. The medical policy is a heaven for me. Every months I can save up to RM 5000 for my diabetic pills, physio teraphy, kidney hemodialisis, tibi, warded bills, bla, bla, bla bills, medical bills, pill bills, bills bills, bill gates whatever. Now I realize how much do I need the company now than they need me".

Woha. Now you know ah Who needs who? Be praise to Allah.

p/s: Take good care of your health even you are a hardworking staf. Don't forget to visit the nearest mosque/surau for solat with jamaah.
